My name is Linda Kennedy. I’m Belfast born and am a perfect speaker of the “Norn Iron” language.
I grew up in the seaside town of Holywood where my love of the sea just grew and grew even when I managed to get stung several times by Jellyfish who seemed to lie in wait for my wee feet to come along. Heavily influenced by my Dad I also had several pets to love and care for including Prince the Border Collie and Charlie Cat my beautiful Tortie. To this day Border Collies and Torties are my fave dog and cat breeds.
I eventually moved to the South coast of England to sunny Sussex by the Sea and that is where I am today.
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Jan 2015 and have been through Mastectomy, Chemo and Baldness (not a good look for me) and Radiotherapy. Thoroughly unpleasant but I’m still here and currently undergoing reconstruction (I sound like a building site). Our NHS is just wonderful and I am very lucky to be receiving such brilliant care.
Cancer was a wake up call for me and taught me to appreciate my life and experiences and I hope to fill My Blue Planet Life with all sorts of anecdotes and experiences about the sea and its connections.
So for now
